  Village Groups

A wide range of clubs or groups is available, run by people from the village; many have been well established for over 20 years.

Art Clubs – two groups meet regularly.

Art Exhibitions – local artists display their work annually.

Bell ringing – a traditional strong group with a high reputation amongst campanologists.

Book Club – held at various houses.

Bowls Club – indoor and outdoor bowling, the two mixed groups are very well supported.

Café – every Wednesday & Friday in the Village Hall proves a popular meeting place

Charity Exhibitions – held at intervals over the year.

Church Fete – annual event held on the King’s Arms garden, part of the proceeds to a nominated local group and a chosen Charity.

Cinema – monthly Rural Cinema is very well attended and is a welcome social event.

Clog dancing – lessons given weekly in the Joseph Webb Hall.

Gardening Club – monthly meetings with a speaker plus visits and an annual holiday for members. Holding Annual Spring & Summer Shows – very well supported general produce, handicraft, art, cakes, preserves, and floral arrangement shows and children’s art competition.

House Groups (‘open house’ men and women’s monthly discussion group), a time to share conversation and questions.

Women’s Interdenominational Meetings – meets to prepare for the Women’s World Day of Prayer.

Jigsaw Library – a large collection available for loan from the Coffee Shop

Keep Fit – exercise lessons given on a weekly basis for anyone to attend

Ladies Lunch Club - held at the Three Ways House Hotel - monthly speaker/demonstration and lunch.

Ladies Walking Group – fortnightly walk for village ladies

Leasowes Residents Bingo – sessions held at the Leasowes in the sheltered accommodation Community Hall.

Library – a large collection of books available for loan, run by Coffee Shop volunteers.

Line Dancing – takes place weekly in the Village Hall, attendees also come from surrounding villages – several women in their 80’s participate.

Meon Singers – a long established village choir, which meets weekly. Performances are given twice a year.

Mobile Library – visits alternate Thursdays to various sites in the village.

Mickleton Society - one aim is to conserve and improve features of historic or public interest in the village. Events include talks, visits and social occasions.

Sewing Circle – meets at the Leasowes each week

Slimming Club – meets at the Village Hall each week

Theatre Club – organises regular visits to theatres, Malvern, Cheltenham, Oxford etc

Video Library - videos available to hire from the coffee shop

Visually Impaired Persons (VIP) Group – a small group of people meet on the second Tuesday in the month to support each other.

Walking Groups – organised by the Cotswold Wardens and through the Three Ways House Hotel

Wednesday Club – 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month with speakers on a wide range of topics plus social events

Women’s Fellowship – regular weekly meetings.

Xmas Bazaars – an annual event arranged by the Village Hall Committee for any club or society to join to raise funds for themselves or a charity.

Yoga – sessions for all to attend in Chipping Campden – taught by Mickleton lady.

Volunteers run most of the village activities.
