Mickleton. . . deserves more than a passing notice. Even a glimpse from the distant railway of its church spire rising out of a mass of clustering orchards, backed by the verdant slopes of Cotswold, which hereabout are cleft with deep and darkly wooded coombes, must rouse both envy and curiosity.

The clustering orchards are long gone, but Mickleton, the northernmost village in Gloucestershire, which lies astride the B4632 Cheltenham/ Stratford road and almost at the cusp of three shire counties is very much in evidence and is thriving.                                                   more.....
