The King George’s Hall is the focal point of village life, providing a base for a wide range of educational, physical and social activities for local societies and groups, whilst simultaneously serving as a well maintained and resourced function room for private lettings.

Built in 1911, the hall has served the local community well throughout the interim period, before undergoing a major refurbishment and development in 2003.

The kitchen refurbishment at the King George’s Hall is now almost complete, with new units, water heater, tiling and decoration already in place.

It just remains for the new equipment to be installed to complete the project.

The refurbishment has been accomplished thanks to a generous grant from the JM Dixon Charity, self-funding projects organised by the KGH Management Committee and donations from the Mickleton-in-Bloom Committee.

The Hall, Entrance Lobby and Coffee Lounge will all be receiving a re-decoration during January and February, whilst the main Hall floor was completely re-surfaced over the Christmas holiday with a new hard wearing, non-slip surface coating applied.
