Information Technology Project

Aim

Ø  To increase internet access for local people and improve their life both in the village and      outside.

By:

Ø    providing an Internet Learning Base and Internet Access Point for the Village.

Ø    providing a ‘Resource Bank’ of notebook PC’s

Ø    providing long term sustainability through a network of ‘trained supporters’

Ø    aiming for the project to be self sufficient

Ø      Questionnaire of need

o        30 positive responses

o        £400 Calor VOY IT Award

o        £400 Calor VOY Community Award

o        3sector match support

Ø      Support and a grant of £250 from Mickleton parish Council.

Ø      Fundraising event by CAWP

Ø      Application to Community Projects Fund supported by GRCC – draft available.

Ø      3sector Match to help with specification for hardware etc.

Ø      ‘In kind’ funding is recorded.

 

Next stage

            Ø      Three quotations for hardware based on specification.

Ø      Prepare Bid to Cotswold District Council, Community Projects Fund.

 

The Future

Ø      The support of the Parish Council is essential to secure any funding - grant of £250

Ø      Ward member’s approval of the project and comments.

Ø     The PC support is a condition stipulated by any grant funding.

Ø      Additional funds to meet a percentage of any grant funding will be necessary.

Ø      Fund raising by CAWP.

Ø      Village Survey.
